1. Use bright, high-resolution photos, especially on larger sizes. Our online builder will flag if your image is low quality.
2. Match canvas sizes to your space. As a general rule, canvas prints should take up roughly 60-70% of available wall space.
3. Keep canvases out of direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure can cause colours to fade over time.

How do I print photos on canvas online?
Choose from our selection of canvas print styles, pick the perfect size for your space, and then click “Personalise” to open our online canvas builder. You can then upload photos from your phone or computer, create your canvas print, and easily place your order online.
Can I create canvas prints in-store?
Yes! Instead of ordering online, you can create canvas prints at 400+ Max Spielmann shops across the UK. Simply use our self-service printing kiosks to create your canvas, where our friendly in-store specialists will be on-hand to offer support and advice.
Which canvas print sizes should I choose?
We offer photo canvas prints in all shapes and sizes, so you’ll need to consider your wall space, decor style and photo dimensions when choosing the perfect canvas. The first thing to do is measure the space you have on your walls, and then choose the photos you’d like to fill it.
You can personalise your own photo gallery canvas, photo panoramic canvas, slim photo canvas, photo collage canvas and more show-stopping canvas prints with us. Your canvas print should usually fill about two-thirds of your wall space, but see our canvas print size guide for more tips on what to choose!
Do my canvas prints come with a hanging kit?
No, our canvas prints don’t include any wall hanging fixtures. We cannot supply wall hooks or nails, so these would need to be purchased separately elsewhere.
Can you frame my canvas print?
We don’t currently offer any specific canvas framing services online, but you can create custom picture frames in the perfect sizes separately.
Where should I display my photo canvas?
Canvas prints always look spectacular on your walls, but they look their best when displayed above large furniture (such as sofas or beds). As a general rule, canvas wall art should span about two-thirds of the furniture below it, as this ensures everything is properly proportioned.
We also recommend hanging your canvas prints away from direct sunlight and humid rooms (like bathrooms), as these conditions can damage the colour and quality of your canvas over time. Other than that, you can display your canvas prints in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, or anywhere else you have plenty of wall space!
Can I change the orientation of my canvas print?
Yes, when you are personalising your photo canvas print, you can easily choose either landscape or portrait orientation. With our gallery canvas prints and panoramic photo canvas prints, you can also choose whether to wrap the image around the edges (just like you’d find in an art gallery) or leave them plain white.
Can I add more than one photo to my canvas print?
Yes, you can upload multiple photos to our selection of photo collage canvas prints, while our retro canvas prints can be personalised with up to 12 photos. Most other canvases (such as our photo gallery canvas and photo panoramic canvas) will be printed edge-to-edge with just 1 photo.
Can I add text to my photo canvas?
Yes! You can add personalised text to gallery canvas prints, panoramic canvas prints and collage canvas prints, but some of our canvas template designs don’t have a text option. Simply enter your text in our online canvas builder, and choose from a great range of font styles, sizes and colours to really craft the perfect message. It’s easy peasy!
How do I pick the best quality photo for my canvas?
When you upload an image to your canvas online, we’ll let you know if the image is not high-quality enough. The higher the picture quality, the better your photo canvas prints will look. Simple.
How quickly can I get my canvas prints?
Our most popular canvas print sizes are ready to Click & Collect in just 1 hour (including sizes from 10x8” to 30x20”). Next-day home delivery is also available on these bestselling canvas sizes when ordered before 12pm, Monday to Friday.

How do I clean my photo canvas?
To keep your photo canvas print looking its best, you’ll simply need to remove dust with a soft dry cloth from time to time. We also recommend keeping your canvas print out of direct sunlight, since regular exposure could cause colours to fade. Follow these simple steps and your photo canvas will last a lifetime!
