Install a Max Spielmann photo booth in your own shop or business
It’s one of the UK’s most popular passport photo booths. The industry-leading Max Spielmann Photo Booth is available for installation in retailers throughout the UK and Ireland.
Our photo booths are quick and easy to set up. Since they use our own 3G/4G connectivity, they simply need power and space to stand in.
The typical footprint of a photo booth is 195h x 170w x 89d or 150w for our smaller, non-wheelchair-accessible booth. Please contact us if you would like further information.

Where can I find your passport photo booths?
You'll find Max Spielmann passport photo booths in handy locations all over the UK, including Tesco and Asda supermarkets, shopping centres and much more!
Will I get a digital ID photo code at a photo booth?
Yes, our passport photo booths provide a digital ID photo code for all UK passport photos, along with physical copies.
How long do passport photos take?
Our passport photo booths will take your photo in just a matter of moments.
Can you help me complete the whole passport application?
Max Spielmann shops can offer our Apply and Go service, but this is unavailable in our passport photo booths. Colleagues in our shops can complete your entire online passport application or renewal, while you wait. Please note, this service is only for UK passport applications and renewals.
Are my passport photos and visa photos guaranteed?
Yes, all of our passport photos and ID photos come with our guarantee. This means in the unlikely event that HM Passport Office reject your photos, we will either retake them, or refund the cost of your order.
What checks do you do to ensure my passport photo will pass?
We use only the Government’s passport photo guidance to check each passport photo we take, in addition to completing extra checks in-store, to ensure they meet the necessary standard.
Can I take visa photos in a passport photo booth?
Yes. Our photo booths can take professional photos for visas, driving licences, railcards and all other major forms of ID!
Can I take baby passport photos at a photo booth?
Only children over 4 years old can use our passport photo booths, so babies and younger children will need to get their passport photos at a Max Spielmann shop instead. Our in-store colleagues understand how difficult it is to comply with HMPO rules when taking passport photos for very young children, so we take the stress out of this process by learning these rules and getting the photos right for you.
What are the passport photo requirements?
There are quite a few rules to follow when taking passport photos. For example:
- Printed passport photos must measure 45mm x 35mm
- Passport photos must be taken against a clear, light background
- Eyes must be open and fully visible
- You must look straight into the camera with a neutral expression
