Can you still get films developed?

Yes you can! Film developing is making a huge comeback. From the moment you leave your camera films with us, we'll take great care of your photos when developing your film. Max Spielmann has years of experience processing film to develop quality photos for casual to professional photographers alike. 

How long does film developing by post take?

 Conveniently post your 35mm films to be developed by our experienced team, who will return your film and prints by post within 10 working days.

What type of films do you develop?

Max Spielmann process all types of film and single-use cameras, and if it can't be done in-store our Excellence Centre is on hand to help. We can: process 35mm film, APS, 110/120, 120 film, E6 slide film, black and white film; offer digital copies of your prints on CD or USB; offer extra sets of photo prints at a discount; offer a variety of print sizes and enlargements.


Developing your camera film in-store

In-store photo developing is available at many of our branches across the UK, simply use our branch finder to locate your nearest Max Photo centre where you'll be able to get your films developed and collect your photos in under an hour (or whenever is convenient for you). There will be the option to have your photos printed in various sizes, have extra sets printed or transfer your prints onto CD/USB for your convenience. If your local store is unable to develop your photos, we can still take your films and disposable cameras in for processing at our UK based Excellence Centre which we call ICE for "Imaging Centre of Excellence". They’ll receive the same service and quality as you’d expect and will be ready for you to collect from your local store in 7-10 working days. For other specialist film processing including slide processing, 120 and black and white photo developing, please ask your local store for service times. With our colleagues skilled in using and maintaining our photo labs, you can rest assured that your films will be processed to the highest of quality with photo prints at a great price.

Can I order extra sets when I get my film processed?

Yes, you can order as many as needed.

What film processing sizes can I order?

Standard photo size options are 6x4, 7x5 and 8x6 but we can offer enlargements.

Can I get a digital copy of my camera film?

Yes we can save your photos to a CD and in some branches offer USB or email too.

Can you turn my photos black and white?

Yes you can request to have your colour films printed in black and white.

Can you develop disposable cameras?

Yes we process all types of disposable camera films including underwater!

Can you develop and process 120 film?

Yes we can develop 120 film and the prints are 7x5 in size only.

Can you develop and process E6 slide film?

Yes we can develop slide film but not same day in branch.

Can you develop black and white film?

Yes we do. C41 Black and White can be developed in our branch labs, however other specialist black and white film will need sending away for developing.

Can you make photo prints from negatives or slides?

Yes, prints from negatives is available in all stores, some can do this the same day depending on quantity.

How long does fiilm processing take?

You film can be developed in as little as 20 mins in our Lab stores and takes 7-10 days in our non-lab stores.

What if my camera film is blank?

We can offer a reduction in price or a replacement film

Do I get my negatives back?

Yes your negatives will be returned to you.

Why has my film been returned to me?

If you underpay postage when sending your film off to be processed, it will be returned to you. Please ensure you pay correct postage by taking your film to the post office or by using a courier
